about Kema
Kema Ward is a death doula and grief facilitator based in Costa Rica, where she founded Carpe Mortem and The Unseen Mourning. Her own journey with grief and loss is what led her to this work, and she writes about it in her book Where the Light Comes In. Her philosophy centers the conversations most of us are taught to avoid, and the practices that help both practitioners and the people they serve stay grounded in them.
